About Kokikai International
Aikido Kokikai is an international organization with schools in the US,
Japan, Australia and Israel. The schools provide a place to learn and practice
Kokikai Ryu (Kokikai Style)
Aikido.

Shuji Maruyama Sensei
Founder and President of Aikido Kokikai |
The founder of Aikido Kokikai is Shuji Maruyama Sensei who in addition to his
Aikido training with other instructors, was a student of the founder of Aikido
for several years. He began teaching in America over 30 years ago. After teaching
here for nearly 20 years he returned to Japan. Although not presently residing
in America, he returns to the US three times a year to continue instruction,
teach at seminars
and to conduct promotion
testing.
During seminars students from all over America come together
to share practice and to learn. Typically there are four annual seminars held
in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Washington. These regular visits from
the founder assure continuing growth and progress. |
